The balance between animal welfare and energy efficiency is a key factor for a succesful breeding. This is achieved by providing to poultry optimum levels of temperature, relative humidity, CO2, NH3, proper air speed besides efficient energy consumption (heating, cooling, ventilation).
During this stage it is necessary to implement feed stock control systems in the silo. The management of the weighing in real time of each poultry and the measurement of the feed and water consumption is the first step to improve the meat production.
The ducks and turkeys must have security systems to warn the farmers or veterinaries (high temperature, harmful gases, electricity failure, etc). Also it is becomong more and more important to get information about the energy efficiency during the breeding.
